DILWYN CEDAR CLUB

MAY MEETING

For our visit to Gloucester Quays on 19th May, the sun shone and everyone enjoyed wandering around the historic and well-restored dockland area and also the opportunity for some retail-therapy in the designer outlets.  For those who ventured further, the magnificent Cathedral provided wonderfully tranquil and beautiful surroundings.

NEXT MEETING:  Thursday, 21st July

There will be a full-day outing to St. Fagan's Folk Museum, Cardiff.  This is one of Europe's foremost open-air museums and Wales' most-visited heritage attraction.  During the last 50 years, over 40 original buildings from different historical periods have been re-erected in the 100-acre parkland.

We shall be leaving the Green at 9.00am prompt, and we plan to be back in Dilwyn by 6.00pm.   For those interested, who have not yet booked their places, the closing date will be 15th July.  Non-members are welcome to join us.  For further details, please contact Chris Jennings on 319190 or Anne Gerrish on 318633.

Please note:  The next meeting in the Cedar Hall will be on Thursday, 15th September (there being no meeting in August); details will be published in the August Dilwynner.

Gill Beatty will give an illustrated talk entitled: 'A Buddhist/Chinese Wedding'.  Gill travels frequently to Asia and has extensive contacts in that part of the world and a wide knowledge of the customs there.  We are sure to have a fascinating insight into Asian culture.  As always, the meeting will conclude with tea and a raffle.  New members are welcome.
