ST. MARY'S CE PRIMARY SCHOOL DILWYN

The long tradition of primary education in Dilwyn will continue with the recent opening of the independent St. Mary's Primary School.

We are not standing alone in this venture but are part of the Hereford Diocesan Educational Trust, a group of cooperating church schools in the Hereford Diocese who will provide mutual support : such things as administrative assistance, teacher training, governor training, curriculum development and the like, if and when needed. We will also maintain our close links with St. Mary's RC High School Federation, which includes St. Joseph's Primary School, and are in discussions with other school groups such as the Lord Scudamore group of schools to promote additional co-operation. We will, of course, maintain and further develop our links with the Dilwyn Playgroup.

Although we are a Church of England School and teach within the ethical and moral standards of the Christian Church we welcome children of all faiths, or of no particular religious faith, to our school.

These are momentous times for our village school as we open a new chapter in its history.
